In accordance with the rules and regulations of the Government of India, the Embassy grants visa, on application, to those intending to visit India for tourist, business and other purposes.
Visa Application Forms are available free of cost at the Embassy. Photocopied or downloaded Visa Application Forms are also acceptable. Applicable fees, one recent passport size photograph showing full frontal view of the face against a light and plain background and the passport - valid for at least six months beyond the applied visa period - should accompany the application.
Note: Applicants visiting India are advised to abide by the law of the land and not to misuse status of their respective visa granted by the Mission. Indulgence in any unlawful or undesirable practice will be dealt with strictly.
Timings : Visa applications are received at the Embassy between 0900 hrs. and 1100 hrs. on all working days (i.e., Saturday to Wednesday) and visas are normally issued between 1600 hrs and 1700 hrs on the same day. The Embassy would remain closed on all Thursdays and Fridays. For other closed holidays of the Embassy, please check the List of Holidays.
For foreign nationals residing in Yemen, a reference will be made to the Indian Mission in the country of the applicant’s nationality and would require additional processing time and fee of US $ 45. The visa processing time in such cases would be about a week.
The period of validity of the visa begins from the date of issue of visa.
The Embassy reserves the right to refuse visa without assigning any reason. Visa fee is charged regardless of whether visa is issued or not. |
